Our Monaco practice was founded in 1979 and was acquired by Lawrence Graham in 2003. Our emphasis is on non-contentious legal advice to wealthy individuals (including their underlying businesses), family offices, private banks and linked financial institutions.
In Monte Carlo our lawyers specialise in advising on the particular legal issues arising from the ownership of international wealth (particularly multi-jurisdictional estate, trust and tax planning) as well as on local tax, legal and regulatory issues (such as Monaco residency / immigration / visas, buying French and Monegasque real estate and property or setting up a business in the Principality or in France). In addition, we have a particular specialism in terms of banking, financial services and regulatory laws in Monaco including compliance, anti-money laundering and due diligence.
We speak a number of languages including English, French and Icelandic. We have a client base which includes entrepreneurs, entertainers, financial or banking services companies, fund managers, trust companies, sporting personalities and international families from many jurisdictions.
