International arbitration

Our international arbitration group comprises litigation lawyers and experienced arbitration practitioners from across our international offices and our specialist industry sectors including oil and gas, financial services, healthcare and pharmaceuticals, international insurance and reinsurance (including Bermuda Form arbitration) and construction and engineering.

As international arbitration becomes the preferred form of dispute resolution in transnational commercial transactions our lawyers are experts in dealing with international arbitrations seated in major arbitral centres, including London, Paris, Dubai, Singapore and Hong Kong and under the procedural rules of the ICC, LCIA, UNCITRAL, SIAC, DIAC, AAA, JAMS and LMAA.

We are commonly involved in International Chamber of Commerce, London Court of International Arbitration and London Maritime Association. Our team is also experienced in handling heavy multinational arbitration either where the law of the agreement is English or the procedural law of the arbitration is English.

Acting for an AIM listed investment fund in LCIA arbitration proceedings with its former investment manager, with associated proceedings in Mauritius and Delhi
Acting for excess insurers (excess of US$50m) on an E&O/D&O programme in international arbitration proceedings (UNCITRAL) in relation to their exposure arising out of a $100m US class action brought against their insured, a US Fortune 100 Company
Representing an international construction company in relation to multi-million dollar arbitration claims in the Dubai International Financial Centre.
Acting for a US multi-national insurer in professional liability excess insurance claims against a financial services group in an UNCITRAL arbitration.
