Three commendations awarded to Lawrence Graham at FT Innovative Lawyers 2011
International business law firm Lawrence Graham LLP ("LG") has received three commendations and moved up the rankings in the FT Innovative Lawyers 2011 report. The annual report recognises the bold legal ideas of the last 12 months and highlights the leaders in responding to market change. LG's Dispute Resolution team was highly commended for its Supreme Court victory this summer over the defunct Lehman Brothers to uphold collateralised debt obligations and swap priorities. The team was also commended in the bribery and corruption category for its fixed-fee advice to the mid-cap market. In the client service category, LG's Middle East Private Capital initiative with Walid Chiniara, The Family Business Advisory Group, was also commended. Overall, LG is now ranked 30th out of the top 50 most innovative law firms in Europe in the report. LG's managing partner Hugh Maule said: "It is encouraging that we have moved up the rankings from last year and are now in the top 30 most innovative law firms in Europe. The three commendations we received are testament to the firm's entrepreneurial culture of embracing change and reacting intelligently to opportunities in the market."
